Take the opportunity to meet and present your work to one of the world’s most acclaimed designers, Yves Behar.

Herman Miller Asia Pacific is hosting one of the worlds most inspiring and internationally acclaimed designers Yves Behar on a tour to Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne this February.
Head of the famed San Francisco design studio fuseproject, Yves Behar is renowned for his work with brands like our own along with Swarovski, Mini Cooper and for projects like the $100 laptop, NYC Condom and our new SAYL chair.
If you are an emerging designer (furniture, product, architecture, graphic, fashion, etc.) or creative based in Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney or Melbourne post an example work and link to the Herman Miller Asia Pacific Facebook page.
The winner will have the opportunity to meet and present their work to Yves Behar in a one-on-one mentoring session as well as take home a brand new SAYL chair. Three runners-up will also receive a SAYL chair and have their work featured on the Herman Miller Asia Pacific blog.
The winning submission will be judged based on:
How your design ‘Brings stories to life’ (See the TED talk for inspiration
Creatively expresses how design can make a positive difference on the wo
How many comments and ‘likes’ your work receives.
Entries close on February 10th and the winner will be announced on facebook on February 13th. The winner must be available to meet with Yves in Tokyo, Singapore, Melbourne or Sydney during the tour.
Terms and Conditions:
Entry is available to Emerging Designers based in Tokyo, Singapore, Melbourne or Sydney. Emerging designer is within the first ten (10) years of practice. You must be from one of the following fields: (furniture, product, architecture, interiors, graphic, fashion, creative)The winner must be available to attend the session in their city at the time specified by Herman Miller on the below dates: Tokyo: Monday 14th February, Singapore: Tuesday 15th February, Sydney: Thursday 17th February, Melbourne: Friday 18th February. Transport costs to and from the venue to claim the prize remain the responsibility of the winner.All entries have to respect the social media moderating policy of Herman Miller Asia Pacific: 1.
